Melbourne II

So this was the first day on my solo-journey throughout Melbourne city. I did a few things like seeing federation square and the cathedral, eating a few (more like a ton) of things, exploring different shopping areas, going up to the Eureka Skydeck during daytime and also night-time.

Despite the first two days of Melbourne being cool and relatively dry, it was so hot and humid this day. Switch to sleeveless!

I took so many photos it was ridiculous, considering I was only exploring for 2 days. Nevertheless I just put them in order to show what I did throughout the day!

Top - Cotton On / Jeans - Topshop Joni Jeans / Shoes - Sliders from Target.
I ended up changing shoes halfway through the day because my flat feet were getting sore!
Federation Square/St. Paul's Cathedral
Flinders Street
One of the many alleyways in Melbourne filled with quaint little cafes.
And of course, Hosier Lane. The graffiti art was actually better in some other locations though.
Selfieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
How cute is this flower shop "pollon". The displays were amazeballs!
I wanted to eat at Manchester Press, but I took photos instead because I didn't want to wait and get a table for one...

Another selfie near another alleyway on my way to La Belle Miette!
Macarons are just plain old pretty. I don't like them all that much, but these were some of the better ones I've had next to LadurĂ©e. I find tasting the different flavours so fun hehe!
Very cute.
Earl grey choc, Blueberry and Violet, Pistachio, Scone and cream, Vanilla, Strawberry and cream.

After eating some macarons, I needed something like a green smoothie to neutralise the ickiness.
Green smoothie with a coconut water base!
Time fo some shopping woohoo!
I've come across several N2's in Sydney but never had the interest to actually get any. Until I saw this Cupcake Central and N2 Pop-up bar". I don't go for cupcakes much but these looked pretty cool!
Science, bitches.
I got strawberry shortcake!
Check out those layers, dayum. Not sure if the stomach ache I got after was worth it though...
Berk Ftweet.
Some shopping areas.
Ugh. I wanted everything inside, but couldn't afford anything...
Cos, and Fat somewhere around the corner. Wasn't disappointed, but wasn't amazed.
Not too busy, not a bad day to be strolling around. (But it was insanely hot.) I still ventured all around the city though.
Pick-me-up from pressed juices. For $9.50 a bottle it's pretty steep, but pretty damn tasty.
Makin' my way through Flinders Walk to the Eureka Tower
:3
To Level 88!
98th tallest building in the world.
Peeking over the Yarra River.

City buildings!

I then headed back to my hotel for some noms, a shower and an fresh change of clothes (all the walking around I did in the humid weather was not pleasant...) and decided to come back out at night!

Melbourne I

This week, I went on a trip to Melbourne! I went down to see my bestie Julia, stayed at hers for two nights, and travelled solo for the remainder of the trip.

I was super excited to see Julia considering we only see each other once a year, so I had an awesome time chilling out with my wifey. Basically, all we did was eat, watch movies, sleep, talk and make random videos! Twas the life.

Besides seeing my best friend, the highlight of my trip was getting heaps of alone-time, seeing everything I want to see, eating everything I wanted to eat and doing everything on my own accord. I'm always the last person to get tired, so I was able to see a lot since I could walk anywhere all day long.

I did some typical touristy things which mostly included visiting certain places. I also went shopping in a few different areas - mainly the GPO/emporium area.

One of the downsides of travelling alone is that I didn't want to ask for a  "table for one", so I missed out on some of the places I wanted to eat at. There's always next time though!

On the first day I went into the city, Julia and I had to say goodbye for this year :( I checked into my hotel, wandered around for a bit to get to know some main areas, grabbed some food and called it a night. (We stayed up far too late the night before...)

On my way to Julia's from the airport.
First time in the city, taken by the one and only Julia :D
Me in my true element - being super awkward.
-Pout-

Crossed this road way too many times during my visit...
Melbourne GPO
Random candles by GPO
I had never really taken selfies much before this trip, let alone selfies in public!
Myer next to the GPO
Ventured inside at 8pm because it was still open and there was a cafe inside Myer!
Brunetti cafe?
There was foods
Soy latte before heading back.
The hotel I stayed at - right across the Southern Cross station and Skybus terminal.
Le bed. Excuse the mess...
Le wardrobe.
Le bathroom.
Everything was closed, so I ventured into Woolworths for a late-night noms!
Chillin out before I hit the hay.
Goodnight with the Simpsons.

Christmas Shopping Haul

Happy New Year!

I've had a pretty crazy few weeks - mainly from working around the Christmas week and not to mention going out for New Year's. I did however squeeze in shopping while the sales were happening.

Most of these items I got after Christmas, and on Boxing day. I can say there wasn't that much to look at when I went shopping because everyone had already purchased everything and I was a bit late on joining the Christmas shopping spree. I did however get some good deals, like 20% off the Nike's, nearly 50% off on the Country Road and Topshop items, and went into Windsorsmith during a 40% off storewide sale.

$7.50 Men's tee from Myer! It was an "oversized fit", which means that on me, it's a tshirt dress.
Country Road tunic - the back is 100% cotton! Yay!
Topshop Joni Jeans in a dark blue wash with knee slits.
Topshop cropped sweater with an oversized-lounge look. Got it for my bae.
High-waisted shorts from Melrose Ave.
Country Road leather pouch - quick clutch/makeup bag?
Nike Roshe Run in Grey/White/Black
Super comfortable, minimalistic and easy to match!
Lipstik chunky boots from Windsorsmith - I may have made a mistake despite how sexy these are. They are unbearable painful to wear, down to the bone.
Sliders from Target for $10! They're a tad too big for my tiny feet, but still a good find.
