Melbourne IV

On my last day of Melbourne, I went to the Queen Victoria Markets, Melbourne Central and the museum before heading back to Brisbane. Thanks to trams, it's almost free to travel around the city and get from one place to another in a matter of minutes.

Top: Henleys / Jeans: Topshop Joni Jeans / Shoes: Dr. Martens
This is one of my favourite shirts! It's 100% cotton, a good length and sleeveless, perfect for summer!
Near the entrance of the Queen Victoria Markets.
The main area of the markets. To be honest, there wasn't that much stuff to look at unless you were an international tourist.
This looked somewhat special, so I got a few to take home since I'm not a huge fan of doughnuts.
Each one was $1.10 or something.... I had no idea it'd be that cheap.
The food court had so many Sicilian Doughnuts... I wonder why?
Chicken Cacciatore :)
The front.
Heading back towards city centre!
Also, how Victorian does this look?! Compared to Brisbane and Sydney, Melbourne seems to have more of it's
historical essence intact.
I came across this "museum" in R.M. Williams in Melbourne Central!
You can't actually go up to the tower :(
A peek into the central area.
Royal Exhibition Building. Inspired by the Florence Cathedral?
Carlton Gardens.
If you're a student from anywhere in the world, it's free entry! Only adults pay to get in.
Live cockroaches in a cockroach house... Ergh.
The famous Sam.
Selfie in front of the Royal Exhibition Building!
Despite crappy weather, my flight was pretty smooth, with barely anyone on board.
Flying off into the sunset!

So that comes to the end of my first ever trip to Melbourne! I was so sad to come back home, since I'm not a huge fan of Brisbane... Especially the weather....

Despite being by myself, I still had fun and enjoyed going to places whenever I felt like it. Of course it would be just as fun or more going with friends, especially when going out to eat or to enjoy nightlife (not that Melbourne was huge on nightlife).

'Twas pretty awesome just enjoying a few days to myself with no agenda, commitments or stress!

Melbourne III

I went to Eureka Tower again a few hours later to experience the view at night. But not until I got some noms! I went to a place called Purple Peanuts Japanese Cafe, which was just around the corner from my hotel. I was so desperate to take a shower and change clothes I went for something near my hotel which turned out to be one of the highest rated on Urbanspoon!

No Asian cafe is complete without matcha or black sesame flavoured things.
Japanesey.
I want their wall decor.
The menu.
Salmon Tsuke Don. I'd actually rate it a 6.5/10, I wasn't a huge fan of it, but it was pretty decent.
Outfit change after showering into spare clothes I bought: Top - H&M (it was $3!) / Shorts - Glue / Shoes - Dr. Martens.
Necklace - Jade gemstone (gift) / Watch - Daniel Wellington.
Flinders Walk - Night edition!
Yarra River at night.
Re-entry costs $5.50 (On top of the $19.50 adult admission), but it can be used the next day as well.
Same photo from the previous post, but at night!
I played around with the shutter speed on my camera to get some decent light,
Southbank - Strangely similar to Brisbane Southbank, being the riverside and all.
So beautiful :')
I strolled through the city to get back to my hotel instead of taking the tram, so I could take some photos. Melbourne is really quiet at night, similar to Brisbane. Everything was closed, not many people were out and it was blissfully quiet!
